.NAME Domain Names

Introduced in 2001, the .NAME top-level extension is the single TLD intended for personal websites only. These domain names can include personal or fictitious names, aliases and/or other titles people are famous by. At first, only third-level registrations were allowed, so if you wanted to acquire john.doe.name, you were supposed to do that under .doe.name. In 2004, however, the registration procedures were loosened and 2nd-level registrations were also allowed. Already bought 3rd-level names remained active.

Through our firm, you can register your .NAME domain for an interval between one and ten years. You will have the chance to alter the WHOIS details, to park your domain, to modify Custom DNS records, etc. You can also move over an already purchased domain to our firm if you take its EPP transfer code from the current registrar and we will renew it after the transfer has been finished. There are no particular prerequisites on who can reserve a dot NAME domain name, but in order to preserve the idea behind its creation alive, the Registry may check who the Registrant is and if there is no link between the owner and the actual domain name, the registration can be challenged.

The dot NAME top-level domain name extension is amongst the extensions that support internationalized domains, so we can also register a domain in any language at no additional cost. In this way, your .NAME domain will be recognized in your country or region with the exact spelling in your native language.
